Promising opening line
Surprising continuation
Slowly growing sense of recognition
Awfully misconceived ending

But after the moment where it already did. Tick-tocking seconds, days, months and years hasn't been forbidden, it's merely become utterly imaginary. A delusion of sorts, one might say. Hard for some to wrap their heads around that one. They're still on a schedule, where no schedule exists. A bit like the tooth fairy, really.
