My opponent disconnected from our game and, after the set amount of seconds, it showed the buttons to claim victory or claim draw. I clicked the claim victory button, the buttons disappeared for a second then reappeared. I had to click the button several times before it ended the game. Using firefox on windows 11.
I experienced the same issue today and yesterday. My network connection is on full bars and the Lichess lag page shows no problems. I'm using Safari on a Mac. In parts of my latest game, I had to leave Lichess and then come back and refresh the page after every single move. Each time it looked like the opponent had left the game, but when I came back after refreshing their connection appeared again. My opponent also had full bars on their connection.
I too experienced this bug, starting 2 days ago. Sometimes, no matter how many times I click the claim victory button, it just does not take it.
There is also another bug when first starting the game. It used to be that the ding heard that starts the game appeared after the board was displayed. Now, it is heard right away before the board and pieces are displayed.
I suspect that this is a multi-threading bug. I am a retired software developer.

Yes I noticed this one as well. The 'ding' sounds meanwhile the loading icon is on screen for a few seconds before the board appears.

same issue here. no matter how many times i click Claim Victory i have to wait the whole timer...
