Growing level of play in blitz

So often (every day I play) I see in some of the games that when I am in a superior position, where I am up a piece (even a queen), then the opponent suddenly start to make moves of highly better quality than before, where it suddenly gets so hard to benefit from my previous better position where I also have more material. And in the end I break and loose. In many of those games I am sure the opponents switch on the bot/program, in attempt to try to avoid loosing. There are in my opinion so many that can not handle to loose in chess/loose rating, so they cheat a bit to avoid such «personal disasters», especially if they are under cover of beeing an anonymous online player.

You're right. The software you referred on your post is straightforward to get and people's cheating is continuously being increased. People play chess like a video game. For them they're not cheating, just trying to find a "shortcut" to the win.

Online chess will eventually collapse if the chess servers don't take part in this mess and start to close accounts at the first doubt of someone's act of cheating.

At least (40% of dishonest players). I'd say next to 70%, according to my experience gained on thousands of games). But this is not happening exclusively in Lichess but in every chess server.
It's possible that the level of play has not increased but rather ratings deflated, however I don't know what it's like to play at the upper echelons of chess.

deflation and inflation can be caused by changes in the playerbase. for example a sudden influx or exodus of players especially new players
In my former account I was 2200 in 3 mins, Now I can hardly reach 2100. Also, at chess.com it got really stronger. Stronger than here that is why I got back here at lichess. By the way it is my first time to see a Grandmaster talking in the forums.
My honest thoughts-- cheaters have increased. Maybe due to Niemann's controversies. Hahay when can we play a cheating -free online server do you know one @RealDavidNavara
Cheating takes different forms. On lichess, it is only considered cheating if someone unfairly uses assistance, either live or computer. However, by any real world standard, players with multiple identities are, in effect, cheating. It is dishonest, even though the system allows it. There should be one and only one player per DNS address. The rating would then be an accurate reflection of their ability and the matchups would be fair.

And the worst thing is that, according to the major chess servers, it's not actually happening, perhaps just in less than 1% of all users. They should ban IPs and DNS servers, but then 60% of its users will vanish for good.

Online chess is doomed, no matter what.
