I am waiting for prize to rise to 10 000 $, may be we'll see then MVL, Naka, Karjakin, Aronian and other World's top blitzers joining the party and making it even more intimidating to watch.
@GeniusInHell miserable 250$?? lol playing in the free tournament without any fee or payment, those are just money from the sky. Why not to play in the tournament together with World Champion and have some fun, oh and by the way just happened to win some bucks... but patzers will cry about the tournament where they obviously will never play :D

I think there are many places where you can donate money, for example, poor people, single children, this will be a more positive step. just Licheu is not worth accepting donations. but I will assume that Magnus has some kind of agreement with Lichees, and this money serves as a bait for stronger players. and 1 +0 is not exactly chess, if you hold with such a composition as was in arena 4, then Penguin with control 3 + 0 in the top 10 would not have entered! here, rather, the speed decides.

What on earth are you on #62? MC does what he wants. You want us to deny his donation because he wants it to go to the first prize? That's ridicules.

THe donations go specifially to the first prize, can any of us change that? No we can't.

Well, that prize distribution would be bollocks. I hope lichess have the good sense to even it out if and when it gets that huge. Like it's simple, just shuffle the donation money over the 5 places once #1 gets huge enough.

By the way, can anyone tell me how to apply for a title online? I want my FM title registered.
