Best Chess Players (relative to their peers)

What we could do is making a Best Chess Players League -- with divisions and such stuff. Like on the top would be Super World Champions + Morphy and Philidor, then on Division 2 other WC + Ruy Lopez and Greco, then some GMs as well as Modern great chess players (Reti, Nimzo') etc.
Up Fischer, Down Spassky

Bobby Fischer - 30
Emanuel Lasker - 27
Paul Morphy - 29
Wilhelm Steinitz - 18
Jose Capablanca - 30
Anatoly Karpov - 26
Ruy Lopez - 25
Efim Geller - 25
Garry Kasparov - 18
Mikhail Tal - 19
Mikhail Botvinnik - 19
Vishy Anand - 29
Tigran Petrosian - 18
Francois-Andre Philidor - 24
Boris Spassky - 8
Up Anand, dow Morphy. Efim Geller and Ruy Lopez are not part of this list - Geller never made it to World Champion and we need more information about Ruy Lopez. Fixing Puzzletraining's and Musicknight's post, the new list is:

Bobby Fischer - 30
Emanuel Lasker - 27
Paul Morphy - 27
Wilhelm Steinitz - 18
Jose Capablanca - 31
Anatoly Karpov - 26
Garry Kasparov - 18
Mikhail Tal - 19
Mikhail Botvinnik - 19
Vishy Anand - 30
Tigran Petrosian - 18
Francois-Andre Philidor - 24
Boris Spassky - 8
Although Carlsen is off the list, I believe he is strong relative to his peers. Being able to defeat strong players such as Karjakin, I believe that he is strong relative to his peers. Maybe not dominant like Fischer, but definitely incredibly strong relatively, as he has enormous competition.

The ability to keep up at the very top despite being against overwhelming competition. Because it seems that we are basing it off of players that are simply stomping on the competition simply because there is little of it. But if that is the purpose of the rankings on this thread, then I guess it works.

I just believe that Magnus has a lot on his plate, and he is still above and beyond the undisputed world champion.

it's tough for anyone to keep a score above 30 in this... kudos to anand, being pretty sneaky by staying low to the ground.
