How to choose which time-set to play for best improvement!

ChessOver the boardLichess
Hey! In today's blog post i will be giving the best time-sets for you to play out of classical, rapid, blitz, bullet and ultrabullet!

Alright so we know that there are 5 time-sets well witch ones should we pick to improve our play? Well, Let's think of it like this on a graph there is a x and y axis let's say x is your improvement and y is the time spent needed to improve. It will vary from different time sets so let's hop in i will go from shortest to longest!

Ok starting with Ultrabullet, you don't want to play this if you are just starting out at chess because all you have to do is spam random moves you can play around with it but don't take it seriously especially if you are 500-900.

Ok now we have Bullet, just like with Ultrabullet you don't really want to take this as seriously, but you can if you are 600-1000. Bullet requires some skill but not much when you're around the 1100-1200 range because people just usually spam moves.

Alrighty now we got Blitz, this is where we get out of the speedy bullet range, and we get to the stuff where you can play at a lower level. At about 400-1400 is a good range to start out but remember that you should not always play bullet because of spam and other things it's not the best for improvement.

Oke so now we have Rapid, i like this gamemode because it can go all the way up to 15 minutes and is very good to play for improvement because of the longer time so you can have time to build up your calculation, my recommended range to take this gamemode seriously is 200-2000.

For last, we have Classical, i love this gamemode because it is long and gives so much time to think and build up that pattern recognition. I strongly recommend this for beginners to improve it helps so much! You can play this from 100-3000!

Alright we are done with this list! I hope you enjoyed and remember that these are just my recommendations you can play these at any rating cya next time and have fun!
