Can I improve my bullet chess skills by practicing with stockfish 8?

No. Bullet is too fast. And you need time to think try rapid 10+0 it's better because theres more time to think and you learn more.

You are right @Justin_Wen . rapid has a balanced time so it is the best. you have time to think and the opponent can't take a lot of time like in classical.

Maybe yes, its a matter of understanding the patterns, i would say it will have some positive effects for sure, but its not enough.

They're not asking how to improve their chess, they're asking how to improve their bullet chess. Big difference.
My opinion is to just keep playing games against humans. If you play against bots, not only do they not use bullet techniques that humans often use, they usually never flag and see every tactic. Personally, I would not recommend playing bullet against Stockfish 8.

Bullet chess works by instinct. Your instinct is slightly better than your chess itself. So... improve your chess. As someone already mentioned, play some rapid!
