I know that GUI. UCI Settings on Linux doesn't work either. It seems to be in a very early development stage
Man Stockfish' own app is great, very similar in the interface to this Jerry one (which I liked) and much better for functionality. Thanks ;)

I am sorry that you had a bad experience with Jerry. It is not easy to hunt down all bugs on all platforms, and hence I rely on users to post bug reports.
Indeed, Stockfish doesn't play that bad, and there was a bug where the Skill Level of Stockfish wasn't set correctly on some platforms. This bug has been fixed.

Lichess is fantastic, but if you are looking for an offline standalone program, I encourage to give Jerry another try.
