Todays tactics puzzle very difficult and interesting.

How many have solved the todays tactics puzzle? I didn't manage to solve it although looking at it for a very long time. The solution is a very surprising and interesting theme.

I agree, nice puzzle. I'm happy to see that i'm not the only one who had to struggle with that "simple" puzzle (i was quite ashamed^^).

Actually, I got it within ten seconds. I was surprised when I saw the 2000+ rating the puzzle had.

Exactly same, within 10 seconds. This puzzle really shows who have serious and deep thinking style of play and who likes to mess up board chaotically looking for random opportunities :).

@hal9k , i don't know what "style" you're talking about, but that is interesting to read. And very eloquent.

@Gaby_Groseille I mean the guys who can't solve this puzze fast, aim not for "hey, i'll bring my 6 pieces near your king and there is high probability that by random moves king will be mated", but for "this endgame with one additional poon\knight\rook is direct theoretical win and this opening gives the poon by some exchanges". Things like that.

@hal9k oh ok! you're not a poon so, and maybe i am^^ . Better post, and less condescending and vain than " deep thinking style of play " or "i got it within ten seconds", though...
