24h HyperBullet tournament

According to Rating Stats there are:

en.lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/classical
48,370 Classical players this week.

en.lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/blitz
49,464 Blitz players this week.

en.lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/bullet
18,695 Bullet players this week.

So, most players do not play bullet (2+1 and faster). I believe even fewer play HyperBullet (0.5+0).
What is the point to create a 24 hour tournament under a time control which most players do not play?

It is obvious that from the get go, such a tournament is doomed to fail because of lack of participants!
This tourney has been sponsored by Bitchess. Tourneys having money are a target for cheaters. Classical tourneys are sure to have cheaters, especially with money involved. However a blitz 24h[3+0]
would be good.
@Thezombieman
Are you saying that there are no cheaters in Hyper Bullet tournaments? Or perhaps that there are fewer cheaters in Hyper Bullet tournaments than in classical and blitz? You are wrong in both. These days computers are very fast. Normal people need more time than computers to assess the situations on the boards and make the moves.
@Tangelo777 The point is to have fun by organizer and sponsor and players who like this time control and to make such kind of online chess event which might be the first of a kind.
@Lance5500
Good luck in the tournament!
I hope you are as good in hyper bullet as you are in blitz. Please don't disappoint me!
Tangelo777

I did not mean that. I just meant that it is difficult to cheat in Hyperbullet, unless Nakamura or Carlsen is playing on your behalf!
Haha this is mental but I might have to give it a shot!

Just have to make sure they have space in the psych ward for me once the tournament is over....
