Stockfish 10+ WASM not loading in Chrome

I'm running Chrome Version 83.0.4103.21 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) on a Toshiba Chromebook 2 CB30 and whenever I go to the Analysis Board I get the message "Stockfish 10+ WASM Loading Engine..." but it never goes away and I never get any analysis.

I am running ublock origin, but it says it didn't block any requests on the page.

Now the message has changed to "Stockfish 11+ WASMX Loading engine...", but it still seems stuck there.

In the javascript console I see:

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED lichess.org/assets/_HsLb4p/vendor/stockfish.wasm/stockfish.worker.js

But I can click on that link and I get the .js file.

Maybe try disabling all of your extensions to see if it works then? That could help narrow down the issue.

I have the same problem using microsoft edge v83.0.478.13. (happening on multiple computers for me) I have no extensions installed.

Fixed. Was due to Cross-Origin-Embedder-Policy enabled by default in Chrome 83 (www.chromestatus.com/feature/5642721685405696, github.com/ornicar/lila/issues/6471).

@chessclash-beserk A made up abbreviation for "WASM eXperiment", because it uses some some features like the latest WebAssembly threading proposal (which may still change, and is not yet implemented by all browsers). Thanks to multi-threading, it's the fastest of all the currently available methods to run Stockfish in the browser.
