On Lichess, you *must* be nice: Lichess is intended to be a fun and friendly environment for everyone

Thanks all for your input. Reading everyone’s response, we can categorize easily two sides: one is believing that not giving a revenge in bullet games is OK (protecting their rating and fearing of loosing a game), and one that is still believing that FairPlay is important while playing the “noble game”. Sadly, I guess there is nothing we can do about the former :(
It's not protecting rating, it's moving onto the next game. Most people play bullet games in rapid succession, so rematches are not a necessity.

I lost, darn, on to the next game.

Sometimes I offer a rematch if I made a stupid error that cost me, or accept a rematch if my opponent gave away a game. Or, it was a great, tense game and I want another fun one.

But that is a choice I make and has zilch to do with rating points. They're only rating points, you can't spend 'em somewhere. If they matter to you, earn them back in the next game.
I find it ironic that you want to enforce your definition of fair play to other people yet you are the one who recieved a warning for flaming in chat. @DoumBlanchette
@rokoroks : I already did my mea-culpa regarding the reason why I lost my temper, thus the subject of this topic.

@CRuleSportsGuy : "It's not protecting rating, it's moving onto the next game. Most people play bullet games in rapid succession, so rematches are not a necessity." Well, accepting a rematch is usually more rapid than requesting a new match from another player. So clearly, your point is not really helping the discussion here. I can understand why someome that lost a game is not willing to play a revange (lot of players are bad loosers), but what I ask is that a winner with the White pieces offer a rematch if they win. It's kind of being fair.

Anyway, people, I got it : we cannot force players to be nice so I will live with that and hope to see you over the board!

Cheers,
Most of the time, clicking new opponent gets you a game faster than clicking rematch. Both because most people will ignore the challenge but also because sometimes they're slow to accept.

I'd like a "rematch if opponent also clicks within 2 seconds, new opponent if he doesn't" button.
It's ironic how you say you understand someone who doesn't offer a rematch after losing (just a "bad looser") but apparently someone who does not get offered a rematch after losing and complains about it in the forums is just being "fair" and sportsmanlike. You lost a game, big whoop. Get over it and move on.
Often in the evening, when I need to wait a few minutes that my meal is ready, I just play one bullet game because it fits perfectly. But I never rematch since I eat right after. Other people might play one bullet game in a bus for example and then they go to work, or for a small pause at work, or while they are waiting for someone. Forcing them to rematch would not be fair. And everyone should be allowed to play whenever they want to, even a single game.
