I don't really care what other players say. But I certainly prefer 'gg' compared to 'lol' after a loss.
I love this idea. We should say 'gg', but not unconditionally.

Reward all players except those that don't live by the unspoken rules of sportsmanship e.g. the ones who do not resign clearly lost positions.

It will make online chess a more pleasant experience, for sure. It's the human element that online chess lacks, and this is one small step towards adding that.

Winning by time or stalemate is part of the game. I've already been in clearly losing positions and earned a stalemate instead.
#14 in blitz, sure.

But not if you have like >5 min on your clock in 15+0 rapid. If your opponent plays right, they shouldn't stalemate, and they are highly unlikely to run out of time. You are wasting your own and your opponent's time by trying to win an endgame with a total lack of major pieces most of the time.

Of course, flagging is more than acceptable in blitz and bullet. Feel free to do it there.
