A hippo beating a literal Elephant? The hippopotamus wouldn't even be close to beating the Elephant.

They wont fight each others, unlike us humans.

a Hippo causes most deaths amongst humans in Afrika. Don't under estimate them, they kill just because of fun and their bite is mighty.
A hippo on the other hand is a solitary animal, an Elephant not.
to conclude and in edit, that hippo is mf'd if he mess with an elephant that protect their calves... other hippo's won't care while he has to face a horde of elephants> 1vs 1 hippo wins also.

I understand, but just because hippo causes most deaths doesn't mean they're stronger. Hippos are very dangerous, but the elephant if it wants to can kill everyone, it just doesn't want to cause trouble. It can even kill a hippo, before the hippo even launches its attack, it would already be dead by then.

On bite action speed the Hippo would grasp the elephant's neck to death as it is mostly in muddy waters or down under> hit attack is faster and his bite is a killer. Why do even croc's never bother a hippo?

It is more agile then 1 think, it runs like 60km/hour as example and facing death match? it is very fast.
So, if that elephant go drink and does not notice the Hippo a great dead chance for elephant.

What are you talking about? Use your logic, the Elephant is 3x times bigger than the hippo, the hippo won't even reach its neck.
