Captured pieces?

Me too. It's really annoying! I'm using Chrome on Windows 7. One of the problems of 'improving' lots of things is the increased opportunity for things to go wrong :D

Check to see if you have "show captured pieces" enabled -- the third option.

Also when a pawn reaches 8th rank, the choices for which piece you want are not displaying correctly.

Yes, I get this too! The space on the left is the queen though :D

will be fixed tonight. It only affect dark version of lichess btw.
